Written by Cory Trout in November 2020, the poem “Reflecting on Street Preaching: Part Two” speaks of how soul winning sometimes has dry spells or times when there are not many people to speak with.
POEM
I remember the days of old:
Walking the streets to speak with lost souls,
Taking the gospel message abroad,
Going again to where my feet had gone.
So many ears were willing to hear.
(I remember your flowing tears.)
But now the streets are very silent, And conversation is painfully quiet. Lord, do a mighty work once more; Please, open and shut many doors.
